inexpressibly human

My son asks me, what’s the purpose of it all?
And I try to answer him
But really, even for him, he will have to find his own answers
I can only give mine
And when I thought there wouldn’t be an answer for me
There was
There will be one for him too

Each civilization brings something new to the table…
Something we all get to enjoy even if they never meant to share
We’ve already brought some beautiful things
But who says the best isn’t yet to come….

I don't want to live in a place where women are enslaved
And stoned - It takes two to tango
And slave trade in Women
And what's the meaning of Forced Religion
All the Earth belongs to God
What use is worship by force?Nothing

But I live in a world where these things exist

"Not Christian or Jew or Muslim,
not Hindu, Buddhist, Sufi or Zen.
Not any religion, or cultural system.
I am not from the East or the West,
nor out of the ocean or up
from the ground, not natural or ethereal,
not composed of elements at all.
I do not exist, am not an entity in this world
or the next,
did not descend from Adam and Eve
or any origin story.
My place is placeless, a trace of the traceless.
Neither body nor soul.
I belong to the Beloved
have seen the two worlds as one
and that one call to and know,
First, last, outer, inner, only that
breath breathing human"
—Jalaluddin Rumi, 'Only Breath'

woman
in my innermost self

i am
God's divine creation
inexpressibly human

and so gratefull to some brilliant and funny angels
who reminded me not to kow

y a Ti, Infinito Creador Inexpressable

Amor
y compassion
Gracias
You are my Most Beloved
Companion of all my journeys home

Ode of Hope and Love

Ode of Hope and Love
to a Free People
embarking on a New Journey

The Nile pours over its banks and blesses the land

Once upon a time
we imagined that just beyond the horizon
the oceans tumbled off the flat earth into the abyss
where we'd fall off
and be devoured by monsters

but we crossed the oceans
amid thrashing storms and eerie quiet
and found instead
a new land
and bountiful plentiful Life

when we imagine monsters
our fears keep us from sailing free

sometimes we imagine that our neighbors are monsters (countries, competitors...)
that they are keeping us from sailing free
and then we find
that it is only our own imaginings that imprison us

sometimes i imagine
that my sister really doesn't like me
that she only speaks to me out of duty
that she'd really rather things not go well for me
and sometimes that makes me feel hurt and angry and afraid
and i have these internal dialogues
i did this and i did that and i was like this
blah blah blah....

but then
i remembered that when we were little kids
i used to ignore her
maybe this was a chance to understand
this alone time might really be a gift
a must be
a just for me
a Father's gift
to learn a little something
to develop strong bones
and i start to feel
that maybe it doesn't matter what is really on her mind
that i can still just be me
to share a little of who i am
give a little love
without worrying about what it means or what comes back
and just like that
i am free

a young Jewish man said in class:
I am praying for the people protesting in Iran
because i fear many will be imprisoned and killed
even though they are marching peacefully

"pide y te daré por herencia las naciones"
maybe this was God always saying to ask for blessings for each other

from the first moment
BORN Free

"To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition, this is to have succeeded" -Ralph Waldo Emerson

the great seas cannot extinguish Love
my Beloved is mine and i am His
His mouth is sweet wine, He is all delight
This is my Beloved
and this is my Friend
-The Song of Songs

En Egipto

entre las tinieblas
se vislumbra una tenue luz
destellos de paz y fe

El agua fluye de manantiales
y canta con apacible silbido
y las rocas se deshacen

"I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right temporarily defeated is stronger than evil triumphant."
Martin Luther King's
Acceptance Speech, Nobel Peace Prize

"When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall — think of it, always." - Gandhi

All I'm saying is simply this, that all life is interrelated, that somehow we're caught in an inescapable network of mutuality tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly. For some strange reason, I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. You can never be what you ought to be until I am what I ought to be. This is the interrelated structure of reality.

— Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.[29]
