WHAT IS LOVE

from CAROLINE:

sometimes i tell people of my childhood
how my mom abondoned me when I was 9
and my Dad and step mother treated us as if we were crap
and they tell me I have to let it go
but I have let it go
i just want to SHARE who I am

to tell my stories

sometimes people judge the book by its cover
and don't stop for a moment
to PAY ATTENTION
to see who we are inside

i really care about my clients
i like selling them natural products
that don't have side effects
to build stong bones

my clients are often older people
they don't have anybody to listen to them
i LISTEN to them
it makes all the difference

i'll even drive out to them
on my own time
to take them their vitamins
if it didn't reach them in time

I didn't know if I could ever have a child
i named my daughter Domenique
i didn't know
but it means from God
See all that God has given me

The difficult circumstances
were a blessing
they drove me to find another way
to move out to work on my own
i didn't have to be a worker droid
now i have time to go pick up my son from school
and take him to karate
and visit family and friends back home a few times a year
and organize my own time

from ANA:
my dad isn't doing well
he pees everywhere
sometimes he doesn't know what room he's in
but he still has feelings
somedays its really hard
i feel like i'm cleaning all the time
but i feel blessed
that i can be home with him
and spend this time with him
