“Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow.” - Mary Ann Radmacher

The First Duty of man is to conquer fear

"The First Duty of man is to conquer fear; he must get rid of it.” Thomas Carlyle, counseled: http://www.csmonitor.com/Commentary/Walter-Rodgers/2011/0927/Is-America-still-the-home-of-the-brave/(page)/2

what helps me is not to look into the future

but to work on today

today's problems are never too large or too difficult

and God will get us there

i've imagined terrible outcomes before

and they never came to pass

My son told me yesterday

that he was feeling worse each day

'it must be something bad'

it's only a cold
it keeps getting worse

until

it starts getting better

"Mercy and goodness shall follow you all the days of your life"

a promise to each of us everywhere

a message written on every leaf and dale

in river and stream

bird songs, cell membranes and neutrinos

conceived in liberty

single celled ameobas to multicelled organisms

individuals to social networks

simple to complex, individual to network and again

the web of life

could a cell have ever imagined that one day

together would think and speak in a single voice

and it was good

the tree of kowledge of good and evil....

there's an interesting thing

nothing is more terrible

than endless days of having nothing to do

the Budha forgets himself

and just does

Piers Plowman:
"Thou shalt not hate thy brothers secretly in thy heart, but rebuke them publicly." (Lev 19:17)

"They'll produce a passage too," said I, " a proof from the Gospel: 'Do not judge anyone' (Mt 7:1)

"And what purpose does Law possess," said Lewte(Justice), "if no one reproves them - Falseness and fraudulence?"

to do the right as God gives me to see the right

to do the best i can as best i can

LIFE

cell-to-cell communication imperative
